De-mystifying the AFSL application process


Description
This course provides a detailed description of ASIC's Australian Financial Services Licensing (AFSL) requirements.

It incorporates: key issues; new and proposed changes to licensing processes; and other work ASIC has recently undertaken which affects AFS licencees and applicants. It also provides information and data on licensing and registration applications from the 2020-21 financial year.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completing this Module, you will gain an understanding of the following:

- ASIC's definition of "financial services";
- Products and services which require an AFSL;
- The key stages of an AFSL application;
- The Australian Government "Enhanced Regulatory Sandbox" (ERS): Criteria, benefits and participants.

THIS COURSE IS SUITABLE FOR:

- FinTechs operating within the the financial services sector that are considering applying for an AFSL;
- AFSL applicants;
- AFS licencees; and
- Professionals working in financial services that are interested in the licensing and professional registration functions of ASIC.
